A household name for Australian families, OC Naturals has been dedicated to providing high quality, plant-based personal care products for over 40 years. Established in 1986, our goal is to support Australian families and help reduce their impact on the environment.
1965
After years of working for various cosmetic manufacturers, Terry Dowel produced his first personal care product, Tiki bubble bath at his parents' home with the help of his girlfriend, Kaye.
1986
Originally named Organic Care, The OC Naturals brand was created to bring a new range of natural shampoo and conditioners to the market.
1991
Natures Organics were officially available in Coles, making us one of the first sustainable, Australian manufacturers to be ranged in a major supermarket.
Today
Today, Natures Organics continues to innovate and produces over 50 million units of products every year. With investment in new technology and environmental research, the business continues to find new ways to reduce our environmental impact even further.
Our Unique Manufacturing Process
Unlike other local manufacturers, we don't import pre-made bottles and fill with products on site.
Our additional PET moulding facility allows us to create our own bottles on site, using post consumer plastics. The bottles are then filled with our plant-based formulations at the same location.
Not only does this ensure that over 1546 tonnes of recycled PET plastic and 177 tonnes of recycled HDPE plastic is reused, it also has a positive impact on the environment by reducing carbon emissions by not shipping empty bottles from overseas.

At OC Naturals, we employ over 170 locals across our factory and office teams. We believe in the importance of supporting Australian manufacturing, not only for our local economy but for the environmental impact too.
